As mercenary Keith Maxwell, you are hired by Admiral G. Smith of the Terran Space Fleet for suicide missions. You receive your own small spaceship as your first payment. You two have to work together as a team to escort transport fleets and fly missions against the Vossks. Over the course of the story, you will also continuously meet dubious characters who sometimes have questionable but extremely lucrative assignments for you.
You are allowed to keep the goods you capture during your missions for yourself and sell them at the space stations and on planets, which allows you to quickly upgrade your spaceship with more powerful weapons and shields or buy a better spaceship in order be able to fight the Vossks...
